The only political action committee for cats
Yes.. this is exactly what you think it is. It's a website for American house cats to endorse Obama for reelection. Share your comments in the forum below. If you would like a picture of your cat posted on catpac2012.com please send the picture to zambacatpac@gmail.com
Election time is approaching and it's becoming more and more clear that the republican candidates either just don't want to be elected or are just plain loco. Between declaring plans for a moon base, accusing Obama of being in the wrong for apologizing to Muslims for the recent Quran burning, or claiming to have invented the question mark there is absolutely NO chance they have of being elected over the incumbent in 2012. So, join Zamba, cast your (f)eLine ballot today, and endorse the only sensible choice - Barack!

Margaret Page, a woman supposedly with some form of mental illness had been missing for almost a month in the New Mexico desert was found by authorities 10 miles from the nearest small town of Dusty, NM - she was cuddling with her cat who also was hunting for them both. Page relied on her cat's hunting for nutrition and body heat for survival in the sub-zero NM nights. Amazing. Read full Boston.com story here.

Boycott Rush!
What's campaign season without the obligatory and highly publicized inciting comment from an obnoxious political commentator?
Now, cats aren't the only uh, people, who are hating on Rush Limbaugh. In the wake of comments he made about Georgetown law school student Sandra Fluke, his advertisers are bailing out in increasing numbers. For a profile of all his losses, check BoycottRush.org.
Similar to the joke that got Don Imus kicked off the air after perceived inappropriateness of comments made about the Rutgers women's basketball team a few years back, Rush stands to face some down time in the near future - we hope. Let's face it though, this guy is nothing but a shock jock who pulls the listener numbers he pulls not because his opinions are all that insightful but rather because he has a knack for annoying the crap out of anyone in hearing distance and for some twisted reason, people keep coming back for more.
People have told me in the past that "oh, sometimes he has some seemingly good points, that make sense" to which I often reply..... so did Hitler.

In another stunning encapsulation of what your typical anti-Obama right winger looks like, I give you the not-so-honorable judge Richard Cebull of Montana. Cebull was caught red handed sending overtly racist emails about the commander-in-chief. This comes on the heels of an Arizona policeman Pat Shearer being demoted and sent home with two weeks unpaid leave for displaying a bullet-hole-ridden Obama targets he posted to Facebook.
For the full story on Cebull, see Great Falls Tribune article.
For the AZ policeman who thinks its ok to shoot an effigy of the President and post it for the world to see, check out the Huffington Post article.
Cats think that in the wake of this racist behavior on the part of law enforcement and judicial system officials in Montana and Arizona, any persons of race who have been issued a ticket or arrested by the polceman in AZ should be given retrial and any persons of color put away by the Montana judge should be immediately freed citing a mistrial.
What's the big deal you ask? Why aren't these individuals protected by the first amendment? Simple, because their racist behavior brings great discredit upon their respective public institutions and raises grave concerns about the legitimacy of government in their areas. Government officials are held to organizational conduct standards because they are in positions of public trust. Break that trust, and you have to pay.

Yesterday, Rick Santorum went after a 1960 JFK speech about the separation of Church and State. Santorum said:
“I don’t believe in an America where the separation of church and state is absolute. The idea that the church can have no influence or no involvement in the operation of the state is absolutely antithetical to the objectives and vision of our country,” said Santorum in a Sunday interview on ABC News. “This is the First Amendment. The First Amendment says the free exercise of religion."
-According to the Alaska Dispatch, whatever that is.
On behalf of felines out there who respect basic freedoms, we simply ask Rick........ "Who's religion?"
In an obvious attempt to continually electrify the zealot-ridden masses that are his constituency, he overlooked one key fact - people disagree more about religion than they do politics. Exactly which religion should then have a role in the vision and objectives of our country? And for those of you who say the obvious answer is Christianity, then what version of Christianity? Because there is plenty of disagreement there too. Nice try Rick, but next time pick on someone who is alive.

Here's some beefs Zamba and his cat friends have with Republicans this campaign season:
- They refer to Obama's administration as "the regime" yet at the same time criticize the administration for defense drawbacks and nuclear weapons reductions. Last time we checked, regimes increased their weapons stockpiles and military not decreased them and tried to solve problems in the world with reasonable diplomacy.
- Gay marriage and attempts to repeal it "federally." Mitt said that he would promote legislature that would abolish gay marriage. Like it or not, gay marriage is becoming universally acceptable - period. And laws are being passed or in the case of California bills which outlawed it are being overturned. Sure, it's real brave of you to make a bold statement like you're going to strike gay marriage from the records now, Mitt, but come general election time let's see how you flip flop pal.
- Rick Santorum. Nuff said. This individual looks like Brad from Fast Times at Ridgemont High and similarly has about the same chance of being elected as a fictional 80s character.
Yes? Yes?
- Outlawing contraception? Somehow they went from just being against pro-choice to being against proactive rational behavior. Yet, they fling pooh at other right-wing nations for their "crazy" religious views. Hello pot.. this is kettle calling.
- Obama bailing out the auto industry. Hey wait a minute... didn't Bush bailout the banks that got us into this recession in the first place.. and hey, wasn't that to the tune of a much more substantial amount of money with virtually no tangible results? Meanwhile, Bernie Madoff with your money. Hey, at least we got a cool Super Bowl ad with Clint Eastwood... better than nuthin'. Cats are ok with Clint. Now, get off his lawn.
- People like Rush Limbaugh are the main critics of the Obama administration. Rush Limbaugh? This guy is a joke and while he sits and complains about the economy going to shit you can literally hear him getting fatter. Someone needs to switch this guy from soft food to hard food. Looks like that recession missed his neck of the woods.
- How can a person named after a species of aquatic amphibian be a front runner in any party? Does anyone legitimately support this guy? If so, why? Cats are confused as to what he brings to the table.
- Ron Paul - Cats are okay with you. What are you doing on that side of the fence? Get out now while you still can! History judges you by your rivals. Now do you really want to be remembered competing and losing against some of the lamest of the ducks ever to be seen on the national stage?
